OPENINGS

YOUTH SPECIALIST

STATUS: Full-Time & Part-Time / Nonexempt

WORK HOURS:  Days and shifts may be flexible and are to be determined in accordance with the needs of the Detention Facility and the applicant.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, maintains the safety and security of youth, staff, building, and grounds of the Detention Facility. Supervises the conduct and activities of detained youth, assuring adherence to all rules and regulations, using the least restrictive means necessary. Ensures the basic needs of detained youth are met while cultivating a rehabilitative environment. Observes and assesses the behavior of youth and prepares necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate manner. Provides transportation as needed. Performs other related duties as required.
